39 YEAR OLD MOTHER OF 2 – TUMMY TUCK WITH MUSCLE REPAIR
“I had horrible pregnancies suffering from pre-eclampsia, severe edema and very large babies. Needless to say it wrecked havoc on my poor tummy. What used to be flat, tight and strong became stretched out, puffy and saggy. I am an avid runner and my tummy got in the way. No matter how much weight I lost or fit I became, my tummy would not improve. After 10 years of desire and with my 40th birthday approaching, I finally decided to do what I always wanted and have a tummy tuck. I initially hesitated about spending so much money on myself, because I’m a mother and wife, that’s what we do – worry about everyone else all the time. I have zero regrets! It was so well worth it for my happiness, health and well being.
Before contacting any doctors I conducted a lot of research and then narrowed it down to a few options and went to consults – I ultimately choose the most amazing female surgeon in the Bay Area: Dr. Elizabeth Lee (see more on her in my Dr. review).
I’m now four months post op and ecstatic with my new and improved body. I’m back to running and working out after giving myself ample time to heal, and I feel amazing! I have so much energy, my weight is under control, my clothes fit better and my confidence is at an all time high! My family is so happy for me and I’m in a better place both physically and emotionally, which allows me to be a better mother to my children and partner to my spouse. I’ve included some before and after shots where I am 4 month post op.” -

55 YEARS OLD AND THIS WAS MY BEST DECISION!
“I’m 55 years old. And ever since the birth of my first child I went from having a flat stomach, to what I called my “baby belly.” No amount of exercise or crunches could affect this bulge. I was self-conscience of my profile – especially in dresses. Pants and jeans were a challenge because of all the added bulk in the mid-section. I didn’t want to do liposuction because it is invasive and costly. I have a fear of any type of surgery and in addition, could not afford to take time off work. Then one day I was driving and heard an ad on the radio promoting CoolSculpting. Of course I hopped online to research and I knew this could be the solution I was looking for, but discovered there were lots of practitioners offering this service. Fortunately, one local doctor had a testimonial from another patient who mentioned that my OB/GYN had referred her to this doctor. Score! I immediately called and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Elizabeth Lee in Lafayette, CA. From my initial phone call, to every time I visit the office, the entire staff including Dr. Elizabeth are the warmest, kindest group of women. And the best part is I never feel judged one little bit. I have always felt comfortable and if anything, seem to leave feeling better about myself and with a boost of self-confidence. I initially did the CoolSculpting on my lower tummy/abdomen. Izabella is fantastic the care she takes to make you comfortable during the process and answered with patience and a smile my endless questions. I was so thrilled with the results that 4 months later I had my flanks (muffin top) done as well. In fact, I just visited Dr. Elizabeth last week to talk about the ghastly bra bulge that develops with age and explore my options. If you are hesitating to explore this solution, don’t. HOWEVER, do know that there is a HUGE difference between offices. Dr. Elizabeth Lee’s office is at the top of the list and often trains other practitioners. Go with the best. You will not be disappointed!!” -

47 YR OLD MOM OF 3 ABS WERE WRECKED!! FULL ABDOMINOPLASTY W/ MUSCLE REPAIR
“Feeling better each day. Doing more and more in the effort to get back to my normal life. At almost five weeks, I am still feeling a bit of pulling in one spot on my right side, but am standing up 98% straight…when I feel the pull, its a clear sign to chill out! Still taking ibuprofen 3 times a day. Also, not really back to my same energy levels yet. Last night, went out to dinner and had one cocktail with my meal and then came home and felt super swollen and bloaty!
As far as compression undies, I found these on Amazon and they rock: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F0B7OFM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My favorite so far…I really need something that went super high to go all the way over my abdomen to not sit somewhere where work had been done. Though my belly is still pretty numb for the most part, I can feel it when the undies are not in the right spot.
Incision is healing well…using micropore tape and changing every few days. Per my PS, thats all I am supposed to do at this point for scar healing.
Over all, I am loving my results. I feel like my body is back in the proper proportion. I love just putting on a t-shirt and not having to see my belly stick out. I never really had a flat belly, even before having kids, so my new tummy is truly a vast improvement!
Like so many, I wanted to to this but put it off because of the perceived pain and challenge to make it happen. I think the key is just get really organized and prepared to truly “check out” for a good month! Have help lined up for kids, household, driving, and food needs. Take enough time off work to heal properly. Don’t push it with housework. Yesterday was the first day I folded some laundry a and put it away. I thought that sitting on the sidelines and watching the buzz of my busy family swirl all around me and make a mess would really bug me, but in all honesty, it really didn’t. Post op, I really didn’t care how messy the house was. A nice exercise in releasing, which for moms can be hard. As far as pain, I actually never really was in true pain as much as just a discomfort from moving around in the early post op period. Tenderness, sore, and tired…yes. But pain was really controlled.
4 days post
I am like a new woman! That first shower was heaven. I brought a little stool from outside into my shower and mostly sat down, using the hand held shower head. I had a HUGE knot in my hair, from being in the recliner…word to the wise, if you have long hair: Braid it to a avoid a serious snarl situation!
Drains were removed today and that feel very odd, but not painful. Having all the bandages removed was great, as they were pulling my skin and I think making it even more challlenging to try to stand straighter. My back is super sore and weak from the hunching situation. As long as I am in the recliner, I don’t feel it as much, but when I take my hourly jaunt to get up to pee, I can’t wait to recline again because my back is so tweaked. Now that tape is off and drains out, I will slowly start trying ton straighten up, while still being patient. I keep[ reminding myself I am not even a week post op, so all things considered, doing great.
My doc told me I was doing pretty well in the hunch dept. Though my results are an immediate and vast improvement, I know I feel so much better when my posture is good and swelling is down.” -

TYTE AND BRYTE
“I had never heard about Sciton Tyte and Bryte until I contacted Dr Lee’s office for Coolsculpting coolmini consult. Upon my first phone call to the office to schedule a consultation I was impressed. Impressed with knowledge. Dr Lee gave me a thorough exam to make certain I was a candidate for both procedures. She is honest! No B.S. her office staff is no different. Dr Lee’s medical assistant LeeAnne has decades of experience and she shares it. I was going to have Ultherapy or Thermage procedures. Once I compared the latter 2 procedures to Tyte and Bryte there was no comparison. I made the investment. there are 5 treatments 2 weeks apart. each treatment last 30 minutes. Results for me were immediate, continuous and fabulous.
The coolscultpting cool mini was also successful for me and highly recommend both to anyone who would like to ease the appearance of your wrinkles crinkles even your tone and tighten the skin.” -

39 – TWO KIDS…NEEDED A LITTLE HELP, WITH NO DOWN TIME
“I’m a very active mom, of two (9yrs & a special needs 4yr old), who works full time. My second child took a toll on my body and with what excercise I can get in, I’ve plateaued. I have some areas that I feel need some added attention, and I don’t have three hours a day to spend at the gym. I have been researching CoolSculpting for about two years and finally decided to get a consultation. My research led me to Doctor Lee, as I was looking for a plastic surgeon with a great reputation.
Dr. Lee was very personable and easy to talk to. Her staff was amazing, and made me feel immediately comfortable. While I really wanted three areas done, I decided to book an appointment to have two areas done, and will go back to have the third once I see my full results.
The day of my procedure, I was greeted by a nurse, as Dr. Lee has registered nurses perform the sessions. My treatment consisted of the back of my arms and love handles. The procedure was six sessions of my back (3 each side) and four sessions on my arms (2 on each arm)…this took all day. Doctor Lee’s staff was wonderful…I relaxed, watched Netflix and was offered food and drinks all day. The sessions on my back were complete easy, the worst part being the VERY cold sheet they put on your skin before applying the applicator. There is a pulling sensation and within a minute or two your numb and don’t feel a thing. My arms…were a little different. The suction from the applicator created the left part of my palm, ring and pinky fingers to go completely numb. I’ll be honest I freaked out, but DR. Lee’s staff was wonderful and reassured me that this was a normal sensation and the feeling would return. I finished the session (although very unsure if it was the right thing to do) and within 5 mins of removing the applicator the numbness subsided…so I decided to keep going and I ended up completing all four sessions for my arms. My right arm didn’t do as well as my left, as the numbness hung on. In fact, it took almost 5 days for all of the feeling to return in my right hand/fingers. However, I’m 11 days in and all is well; I have complete feeling back.
Be advised, if you are a bruiser you will likely bruise or get really bad hickey like marks from the suction. My hickey marks were ridiculous…black in parts. However, they started to resolve within a few days, and by day 10, they were non-existent.
I had ZERO down time. I was back at work the following day…if you have ever done bootcamp class and have been really sore the days following, then you have experienced the type of “pain” associated with CoolSculpting. It’s nothing a little Tylenol or Advil can’t take care of. By day six, I started getting some annoying pains on my under arms, kind of like an irritated rash being touched, but it’s nothing significant, a little rubbing of the area and it goes away.
All of the areas I had done are still numb to the touch and slightly swollen…in my follow up appointment yesterday, I was reassure this is normal. I am really looking forward to seeing my results (nothing yet due to swelling) but for now, I can say the procedure was easy, with no down time, and mild soreness in the days that followed. If your considering Coolsculpting…check out Dr. Lee, she is wonderful.” -

TUMMY TUCK AFTER 4 PREGNANCIES
“After 4 pregnancies, weight gain and loss, my abdominal area was a mess. I had lots of skin, a huge kangaroo pouch and nothing that I did on my own with exercise or diet made a big difference. It was difficult to choose clothing to obscure the pouch while fitting well in other areas. I basically had to stay with maternity-esque, empire-waist, loose designs which covered everything but made me look larger than I was.
I also had backaches and posture issues (I’m still working on proper posture and breathing.) After reading various websites and watching youtube videos. I asked my OB-GYN for a recommendation for a plastic surgeon and she gave me Dr. Lee’s name. I was nervous about having surgery but at the same time I knew this was the only way to truly improve my abdominal area.
When I had my consultation when Dr. Lee in October 2014 most of my nervousness fell away. I’m naturally a bit wary about everything but the consultation was excellent. She was clear, direct and confident and this put me at ease. I was a candidate for the abdominoplasty with a revision of my C-section scar from my 3rd delivery.
I had to arrange in home help with my children esp the youngest for my recovery. The weeks before the surgery were a blur of interviewing for childcare. It was Dec 18th before I knew it. I was nervous but determined. The surgery went well. I wasn’t in much pain after, just feeling strange & spacey from the medication on the ride home.
Once I got home, I did get dizzy and faint twice. I was sitting on my bed with my husband so I didn’t fall or injure myself. (semi off topic: I had a jaw surgery years ago and the same thing happened. I fainted after going to the bathroom and the nurses had to carry me back to the bed. Perhaps that’s just how my body responds to surgeries?)
During the recovery phase I noticed more discomfort (I only felt actual pain when I sneezed or coughed) but the medicine schedule kept that under control. I even resumed breastfeeding after the days of waiting required to rid my body of the anesthesia. It wasn’t easy with an 11-month-old but it would have been even more difficult now as my son has only gotten more active and rambunctious. I’m glad that I didn’t wait or I might’ve put it off even longer.
I’m aprx 10 months post-surgery at this writing and still experiencing some swelling, especially on hot days or if i’ve been extra active. Wearing a body shaper helps mitigate it. I do have a thin, smooth, flat scar and quite a bit of hyperpigmentation as I expected(I have brown skin and any sort of cut/burn/scratch results in a dark mark that takes a long time to fade). I’ve been advised to continue taping the area.
Even though I’m a worrier by nature I haven’t regretted this abdominoplasty for one second. I’m pleased with the result and being able to wear more types of clothing. I don’t miss the overhang and extra sweatiness I’d experience with that fold(I would have to use powder or natural deodorant under my stomach on hot days). My backaches have been reduced and I feel an extra incentive to keep a decent diet & exercise plan. I’m really pleased with having a manageable shape now!”

“Dr Lee was honest and straightforward about outcomes and results. She didn’t pressure me to get a lift, like some of the other doctors I visited. When you are getting your breast implants removed a lot of doctors tell you that you will hate the results, she didn’t do that. She doesn’t pressure you to get new implants or a lift, she just explains your options and possible results. She is supportive and skilled and I am very happy with my results.”
