How Does It Work?
Sciton Forever Young BBL + Sciton SkinTyte
Tyte & Bryte is a combination broadband light therapy performed with Sciton® BBLTM which utilizes pulsed light to address skin imperfections. This device has the capability of attaching numerous adaptors for an array of treatments, such as Sciton® Forever Young BBLTM and Sciton® SkinTyteTM.
Forever Young BBL uses a broad range of wavelengths that deliver light energy to treat an array of skin conditions.
SkinTyte infrared technology increases production of collagen deep in the skin, tightening and smoothing skin over time. The combination of these two highly effective Sciton® modalities into one treatment protocol, Tyte and Bryte, provides a powerful tool available to reverse aging and photodamage in skin.
Stanford University research has shown that Sciton BBL treatments modify the expression of genes associated with the aging process to more closely resemble that of our youth. Genes turned on as we age are turned off, while genes once active in youth are activated again.
With this new information in mind we offer a combined treatment protocol to help our patients achieve attain more healthy, youthful skin.

Tyte & Bryte vs Traditional Facelift
Many patients are drawn to Tyte & Bryte for its non-invasiveness and cost-effectiveness, let alone its cool name!
Tyte & Bryte is similar to a traditional facelift in that they both lift sagging skin. Tyte & Bryte cannot replace a facelift, but is however a non-surgical option for those who do not wish to undergo surgery or do not have time for downtime. Tyte & Bryte offers not-so dramatic, yet visibly noticeable results. Tyte & Bryte does not involve anesthesia, cutting, and is significantly shorter than a facelift procedure. Another advantage of Tyte & Bryte is its ability to address discoloration, whereas a facelift only addresses lax skin. Both do have their merits, and again one does not replace the other, so it ultimately depends on your aesthetic desires. They often times are actually performed together.
Tyte & Bryte vs Lasers
Tyte & Bryte by Sciton BBL isn’t a laser per se, but rather a flash lamp that produces wavelengths of light energy. These wavelengths vary in levels, making it more controllable and more powerful than other BBL/IPL devices, and just about any other product like it. In the past, the basic differentiating factor between standard BBL and resurfacing lasers was BBL addressed discoloration while lasers addressed texture. But with advances in modern cosmetic treatments and the advantageous factor that Tyte & Bryte is a combination of treatments, it not only fixes skin discoloration but the addition of SkinTyte promoting collagen growth smooths and tightens skin, enhancing both skin texture and elasticity.
Ideal candidates for a Tyte & Bryte treatment are women and men who experience skin irregularities on any part of the body. This treatment can be performed on all skin types, so long as patients do not have open lesions or is pregnant. Other than those contraindications, just about anyone is a good candidate for this state-of-the-art treatment.
It is important to understand what Tyte & Bryte can accomplish and what it cannot provide.
Tyte & Bryte cannot provide the same results as a traditional facelift, but it will give you a more lifted appearance and skin tone and texture evenness. Further, it does not reduce or eliminate fat from the treatment area, but the lifted skin will give you an enhanced profile. Results from Tyte & Bryte are based on your body’s natural regenerative process, so results will be visible as your body heals. This will differ between patients, but on average, good results can be enjoyed after a couple of months.
During your one-on-one consultation with Dr. Elizabeth Lee, you will have the opportunity to explain the concerns you have with skin discoloration or laxity. She will examine your skin and assess if you would benefit from Tyte & Bryte. If deemed a good candidate, she will explain the treatment from start to finish so you are fully aware of the process and what it entails.
Please feel free to ask any and all questions at this time; Dr. Lee advocates for good communication between her and her patients so you walk out of your treatment sessions as happy as can be!
A Tyte & Bryte treatment takes about 30 minutes and is performed in-office. The process begins by applying Forever Young BBL on the treatment areas to address sun damage, redness, age spots, broken capillaries, and other skin imperfections. She then will set SkinTyte to administer the appropriate wavelength to treat your specific case. The device delivers pulses of light energy and controlled heat to the top layers of skin which contracts and plumps the skin. This combination process stimulates skin cell renewal and collagen production to even skin tone, texture, discoloration, and add natural volume.
Alternative Uses for Forever Young BBL
The exciting thing about Sciton BBL is its multiple functionalities. Not only is it used for Tyte & Bright, but additional applicators can be used for other cosmetic treatments. And not only can it be used for these other treatments, Sciton BBL gives surgeons the ability to perform numerous treatments in a single session, such as combining Tyte & Bright and ProFractional for luminous results.
Sciton BBL can be used for ProFractional, a facial resurfacing treatment which restores skin glow and youthfulness. Tiny micro-channels are created in the skin with an erbium:YAG laser to promote the body’s natural healing response and initiates collagen production. This process rejuvenates the skin as collagen thickens and volumizes the skin. Each patient will receive a personalized treatment since Sciton BBL ProFractional offers a range of different depths to treat an array of conditions.
Sciton BBL for MicroLaserPeelTM is performed with the Contour TRL applicator to revitalize dull skin. The powerful erbium:YAG laser gently removes the damaged top layer of face and/or neck skin to reveal new, healthy skin underneath. The erbium:YAG laser greatly surpasses CO2 lasers in absorption and ablation capabilities while managing minimal thermal conduction. Compared to microdermabrasion and chemical peels which use harsh chemicals and abrasive materials, MicroLaserPeel uses precise light energy to remove the top damaged layer to the exact depth that provides you with optimal results. It is also able to reach deeper levels that microdermabrasion or chemical peels, making it ideal for a broader range of patients and skin conditions.
ClearScan YAG is revolutionary in the world of hair removal. Before ClearScan YAG, hair removal devices applied full energy all at once to any given area. ClearScan YAG sends selective wavelengths and even heating on the hair follicles to permanently remove unwanted hair, and strong absorption of melanin reduces vascular lesions. This advanced precise method makes this treatment safer, faster, and more effective as every follicle on the treatment area is reached. The Sciton ClearScan YAG handpiece also emits a constant flow of cool air to keep to skin comfortable. It can be used on any skin type.
